Link of the week: remote sensing e-book from India

June 25th, 2010

India is one of the most active Countries in satellite remote sensing. Currently operational satellites are: IRS-1C, IRS-ID, IRS-P3, OCEANSAT-1, Technology Experimental Satellite (TES), RESOURCESAT-1, CARTOSAT-1 and 2,  RISAT (Radar Imaging Satellite).
National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is one of the centres of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Govt. of India, engaged in operational remote sensing activities.
In the NRSC website you can find the e-book on “Remote Sensing Applications” covering land, water, atmosphere and natural disasters.
The book covers 16 chapters addressing various applications starting with state of art technology, case studies, literature review, future trends besides providing relevant references for scientists and researchers.
