look at the Database section by clicking on the top menu. The database includes: more than 900 operational satellites,  approximately 150 launchers,  all spaceport from where the satellites were launched,  nearly 400 key stakeholders in the sector.

Small signals, Bolivia, China and satellites

World map showing countries by nominal GDP per...

Small signal is a well known terminology for electrical engineers, used to approximate the behavior of nonlinear devices with linear equations.  The real world is highly nonlinear. So I’ll have a look to something that for the international observer in the aerospace sector is considered a very minor event (in the small linear range for a highly nonlinear phenomenon): Bolivia is to launch a satellite into space. Following guardian.co.uk World news WebThe impoverished South American country, famed more for llamas and Andean peaks than technology, has created a space agency to build and launch a satellite with Chinese help”. It would an ‘off-topic’ for this blog to reckon about the capability of  a large part of the European society to understand other cultures, so we limit our considerations to the fact that Bolivia is going to create his own space agency. … with a chines help

Yes it’s a very small signal, but…

The World Bank to revise China’s 2010 GDP forecast from 9 percent to 9.5 percent;

Somebody is forecasting something stronger than the small signal I represented:

[The following data are from http://www.photius.com/rankings/gdp_2050_projection.html]

This table shows the top 10 countries by GDP (Gross Domestic Product) expressed in billions of US$, for the years 2000, 2010, 2020, 2030, 2040 and 2050, listed by projected 2050 rank.

* European Union GDP, which I calculated myself, is shown for comparison, but not ranked.

By the way, we have also to understand what “EU” will be in a long rang scenario.

If somebody it’s enough impressed by the above predictions, I suggest a look to $123,000,000,000,000*

Just for a meditation.
